Feb 6 is a Saturday, so expect weekend rates. Ratings are Google scores checked in late October 2026; small review counts (under 60) are marked so you can weigh them. Pool: Large pool with direct beach access from the property

Food: Self-catering. Kitchen, stove, oven toaster, fridge, and griller are free to use. Ask if they can recommend a caterer.

Watch for: Rustic by design. Some family rooms share bathrooms, and doors are creaky. The farthest on this list: 8 to 9 hours from Manila, 3 to 4 hours from Baguio, or a 45-minute flight to Laoag.

Quiet resort used for company events. A group of 15 with an elderly companion stayed recently, and the resort holds a Saturday 5 PM mass on site, which could be a nice part of Mama's day.

Before you pay a downpayment

Get the headcount the resort can actually sleep in beds, not on extra floor mattresses.
Ask for rooms on the ground floor and a short, level walk from Mama's room to the dining area. Several resorts here have slopes or stairs.
Ask whether the beach is swimmable in early February. Zambales and Bataan waves vary, and Laiya shorelines can be rocky.
Confirm if catering is an in-house kitchen or an outside partner, and whether outside food is allowed with corkage.
Book early. February weekends near Valentine's Day fill up, and whole-resort bookings usually need 3 to 6 months' lead time.
